Don’t have an official DUPR yet? No problem. At Bangers Pickleball, players can self-rate by jumping into an Open Play level. Win consistently and you’ll move up; struggle a bit and you’ll slide down — until you land in the sweet spot that feels competitive, fair, and fun.

A few key factors influence how your DUPR rating moves at Bangers Pickleball:
- Match Results: Wins help bump your rating up, while losses can move it down.
- Margin of Victory: Bigger wins = bigger boosts.
- Who You Beat: Taking down a higher-rated opponent gives your rating a stronger lift than beating someone lower-rated.
- Match Type Matters:
- Self-posted recreational play has the smallest impact
- Club matches and league play carry moderate weight
- Director-uploaded tournament results pack the biggest punch
- Match Volume & Recency: Recent matches matter more than older ones, keeping your rating aligned with how you’re playing right now.
